Dhanteras 2026 Shopping Offers: Gold, Silver and Utensil Deals Before 6 November

Dhanteras 2026 falls on Friday 6 November, opening the five days of Diwali, which falls on Sunday 8 November 2026. Buying gold, silver or a new utensil on Dhanteras is traditionally considered auspicious, so the smart time to plan is now, on 5 November, before the Dhanteras-day rush. Many of the offers below run until 8 November, so check the end date before you buy.

Gold Jewellery Offers for Dhanteras 2026

Tanishq’s festive offer, reported from 10 October to 8 November 2026, includes a Rs 301 per gram Shagun discount on plain gold jewellery, making-charge discounts rising from 5% to 20% by bill size, and 20% to 35% off diamond value on studded jewellery, plus a lower-deduction old-gold exchange offer in stores. KISNA is offering up to 100% off making charges on select gold and diamond jewellery and up to 105% exchange value on old gold towards diamond jewellery, with a 25% down-payment gold rate protection option. Joyalukkas is offering 50% off making charges on eligible jewellery until 8 November. Senco Gold & Diamonds is offering discounts of up to Rs 14,000 per 10 grams on gold jewellery and up to 36% on natural diamond value until 8 November, with zero deduction on old-gold exchange. Note that bank and store offers often exclude gold coins and bullion, so read the exclusion list.

Digital Gold and Quick-Commerce Gold Coin Offers

PhonePe is reported to offer 2% cashback, capped at Rs 2,000, on 24K digital gold purchases of at least Rs 2,000, valid only on 6 November and once per user. On Instamart, in partnership with Kalyan Jewellers, gold coins start from 0.1 gram, with gold coins from 0.5g to 10g and silver coins from 1g to 100g. From 1 to 6 November, the first 1,000 customers each day who buy a Kalyan gold coin on Instamart also get a free 1 gram silver coin, and every gold coin purchase also gets a digital discount voucher worth a 5 gram silver coin, redeemable until 31 December 2026 at Kalyan stores.

What to Buy on Dhanteras

Traditional Dhanteras purchases include gold jewellery or a small gold coin, a silver coin, with Lakshmi-Ganesha designs popular, or silver jewellery and articles, brass, copper or steel utensils, a new broom, and diyas or a pooja thali. Metal and new utensils are chosen because they symbolise welcoming prosperity into the home, while diyas and pooja items are central to the festival’s worship and celebrations.

Smart Shopping Tips Before You Buy

Compare the final bill, not just the headline discount, because the metal rate follows the market and savings usually come from making charges. Check making charges, GST, hallmarking and HUID on gold and the BIS mark on silver, exchange deductions, and delivery dates so online orders arrive before 6 November. Buy only from sellers you trust and keep the invoice.
